One Knight Stand exists because, at some point, we all got tired of swiping through noise and wondering whether the next profile actually meant anything.

I built this because I wanted something that behaved like an event, not a feed. Rather, a single, intentional pairing with no endless scroll, no shimmering swipes, and no dopamine roulette.

In fact, Rumv (rumv.me) and I were chasing almost the same idea. They got to it first in the wild. Credit where it's due. Good on you for shipping that!

One Knight Stand is different in one way: it's a single run, singular pairing, then it's over. No profiles. No browsing. No second chances.

This was built as a personal project by a Rutgers student who quietly thought, "Why hasn't anyone just done this, but cleanly?"
